  • Fall Elections Delayed in Louisiana Due to Hurricane Ida
    Gov. Edwards has signed an executive order delaying the upcoming Fall elections following the severe damage from Hurricane Ida. The primary election that would have been held on OCTOBER 9 has been rescheduled for NOVEMBER 13 and the general election will now be held on DECEMBER 11.   • Jackson Parish Clerk of Court Joins Statewide Portal
    In an effort to remain current and up-to-date in this rapidly changing world of technology, Jackson Parish Clerk of Court has decided to become a member of the Louisiana Clerks’ Remote Access Authority (LCRAA). LCRAA was created and authorized by La. R.S. 13:754 in 2014. It is a state entity authorized to design, construct, administer, and maintain a statewide portal of records that are maintained by parish Clerks of Court.   • Louisiana Death Records
    As of January 1, 2016 our office will have the ability to issue certified copies of Louisiana death records for deaths that occurred from January 2013 to present. For deaths occurring prior to this, you will need to contact Louisiana Vital Records. Effective August 1, 2016, the cost will be $26.00 cash per copy.
