On Monday, May 18, 2020, the Jackson Parish Courthouse will reopen to the public. Everyone entering the Courthouse will be required to wear a face mask upon entry.
The Clerk of Court office will resume its regular business hours of 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday with additional safety measures and guidelines to be implemented. We will have limited numbers of visitors in our office at one time and those visitors will be spaced accordingly to adhere with the six feet social distancing requirement. Applications for birth certificates, passport and marriage licenses will be by appointment only, with only one party required to be present for application of a marriage license.
We would like to encourage everyone and strongly recommend that you continue to conduct as much business as possible by mail, fax, or by e-recording for recording of conveyances, mortgages, etc., through our ClerkConnect online access.
We truly appreciate your understanding and patience as our office tries to do our part in preventing the spread of COVID-19, while continuing to provide our services in the safest and most efficient manner possible. Please do not hesitate to contact our office if you have any questions or concerns. WE ARE HERE TO SERVE YOU!
