VETERANS' DAY HOLIDAY OBSERVED - FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 10, 2017  (11/2/2017)

In accordance with the Governor’s Proclamation Number 132 JBE 2017, and in accordance with R.S. 1:55, the Jackson Parish Clerk of Court office will be closed on Friday, November 10, 2017, in observance of VETERANS’ DAY.

We will reopen on Monday, November 13, 2017, at 8:30 a.m. 

The Clerk of Court office wishes to take this opportunity to extend our gratitude and sincere appreciation to all veterans for the service that you have given to our country.  We will always remember that freedom isn't free and those who are willing to pay the price, spend time away from their families, and face the endless dangers of the battleground, are the true heroes.  To all of you, we say "Thank you for your service".

 
EARLY VOTING FOR NOVEMBER 18 ELECTION  (8/24/2017)
Early voting for the November 18 election will be FRIDAY, November 3 through SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 11 from 8:30 am to 6:00 pm, excluding Sunday and also exlcuding Friday, November 10, due to the closure of the Registrar's Office for the state observed holiday of Veteran's Day.  Early voting is held in the Registrar of Voter's office on the first floor of the Courthouse.  Please remember to bring your photo ID.
 
FALL ELECTIONS - OCTOBER 14 and NOVEMBER 18  (8/24/2017)
General (run-off) election will be held Saturday, November 18.



The November 18 ballot for Jackson Parish will include a statewide run-off for our State Treasurer, a parish wide proposition for a millage renewal for the Jackson Parish Hospital Service District, as well as a proposition for a millage renewal for registered voters that reside in the Ward Three (3) Fire Protection District.

JACKSON PARISH CLERK OF COURT JOINS STATEWIDE PORTAL  (10/31/2016)
In an effort to remain current and up-to-date in this rapidly changing world of technology, Jackson Parish Clerk of Court has decided to become a member of the Louisiana Clerks’ Remote Access Authority (LCRAA).  LCRAA was created and authorized by La. R.S. 13:754 in 2014.  It is a state entity authorized to design, construct, administer, and maintain a statewide portal of records that are maintained by parish Clerks of Court.  Please feel free to give us a call if you have any questions regarding the portal or any other matters.

LOUISIANA DEATH RECORDS  (11/16/2015)
As of January 1, 2016 our office will have the ability to issue certified copies of Louisiana death records for deaths that occurred from January 2013 to present. For deaths occurring prior to this, you will need to contact Louisiana Vital Records. Effective August 1, 2016, the cost will be $26.00 cash per copy. Please contact our office for further information or questions.
