| Our office will be closed on Monday, May 27th, in observance of the Memorial Day holiday. We will re-open at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 28th. |

2013 - Special Effort to Re-create Records for Preservation

| Our records date back to 1880 with a few exceptions. Microfilm has been used for many years as a tool for reproducing our records and storing offsite in case the courthouse is destroyed-a practice which we will continue to incorporate into the storage process. Due to advancement in digital technology, we are taking great strides in digitizing our records to be preserved as images-easily retrievable and sufficiently secure. From court records to cash deeds, from mortgages to marriage licenses, we want you to know that your records are safe and secure, and we look forward to transitioning this process with modern standards. Please feel free to visit our office and see for yourself. |
